Leading figure in private wealth to join the Board of Praxis

Praxis is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Hodgson as an independent Non-Executive Director (NED) to its Group Board, bringing over 35 years of distinguished experience in fiduciary services, administration and financial governance.

Paul was a senior executive of the Butterfield Group, where he spent over 25 years, including 17 years as Managing Director of the Bank’s Guernsey trust company and four years as Deputy Group Head of Trust, before retiring in 2023.

Paul’s international experience also includes a decade with KPMG in Australia, London and Hong Kong. A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a member of both STEP and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, Paul’s qualifications underscore his robust financial acumen and commitment to professional excellence.

In addition to his professional achievements, Paul has been a prominent advocate for the finance sector in Guernsey, holding key leadership roles with the Guernsey Association of Trustees, the Guernsey International Business Association and the local branch of STEP. He has been a serving Commissioner at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission since March 2024.

Paul’s appointment is effective from 1 January 2025.
