New UK regulations: Praxis now an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)
As part of wide-ranging changes to UK company law, new identity verification requirements are being introduced for company directors and Persons with Significant Control (PSCs). Praxis has now been formally approved as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), allowing us to carry out these checks and submit filings directly to Companies House on behalf of our clients.
The new rules have been introduced under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA), a significant piece of legislation as part of the UK government’s action to fight economic crime.
As part of these changes, certain individuals connected to UK companies, such as directors and People with Significant Control (PSCs), must now undergo identity verification to ensure the accuracy and integrity of information held by Companies House.
Praxis is now officially accredited as an ACSP, which means we can act on our clients’ behalf to:
- Carry out the required identity checks on directors and PSCs
- File documentation directly with Companies House
- Help ensure their business stays compliant with the latest legal requirements
Joshua Gallienne, UK Corporate Services Director, said: “Becoming an ACSP underscores our commitment to upholding the highest corporate governance and compliance standards.
