Praxis celebrates professional growth with New Year promotions

Independent professional services group Praxis has announced the promotion of 44 colleagues across its global network, marking significant professional growth and organisational impact.

The January promotions include two new Directors, Tom Zierer and Charlotte Barnes, and two new Associate Directors, Kamar Alameddine and Craig Platt, reflecting Praxis' commitment to developing leadership talent from within. A further 40 people have been moved up across the Group’s offices in the Channel Islands, Hong Kong, Malta, Mauritius and the UK.

In Guernsey, Tom Zierer has been promoted to Client Relationship Director. Since joining Praxis’ private wealth team in 2013, Tom has served as the Relationship Principal for a complex portfolio of private and institutional clients, leading a team responsible for the day-to-day management of trusts and companies. A Chartered Governance Institute-qualified professional, Tom also chairs the IoD Guernsey Next Gen Committee, a network of aspiring future leaders he was instrumental in launching in 2022.

Also in Guernsey, Charlotte Barnes has been promoted to Director level in her role as Group Head of Marketing & Communications. With over 20 years of experience in professional services marketing and communications, Charlotte joined Praxis in November 2022. She is responsible for developing strategic initiatives to enhance the firm’s brand presence in key markets, including the UK, Middle East and Southeast Asia, and for managing stakeholder relationships to drive growth.

The new Associate Directors are Kamar Alameddine in Dubai and Craig Platt in Guernsey.

Kamar, who joined Praxis in 2020, brings over a decade of compliance and anti-money laundering expertise in the UAE. She holds the GCC Advanced Compliance Officer Diploma and the International Diploma in Anti Money Laundering, strengthening Praxis’ commitment to regulatory excellence.

Craig, celebrating 10 years with Praxis, has over 16 years of experience in the private wealth sector. As a Client Relationship Principal, Craig leads a client-facing team managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, reflecting his dedication to exceptional service and leadership.

The additional 40 promotions span Praxis’ global offices, showcasing the breadth of talent and expertise across the Group’s service lines, including private wealth, corporate administration, pensions & employer solutions, and yacht services. These advancements also highlight contributions from the Group’s business solutions, facilities, finance and legal teams.

Group CEO, Rob Fearis said: “Congratulations to all 44 colleagues recognised this year. The strength of our NextGen talent and the breadth of in-house expertise continue to enhance Praxis’ offerings to clients and communities we operate in.

“These promotions underscore our dedication to cultivating talent and delivering excellence across our global operations in 2025 and beyond.”
