PraxisIFM Group COVID-19 update

A PraxisIFM Group update regarding COVID-19

Business travel

The health and safety of our clients key intermediaries and staff remains our priority. In line with government advice and border restrictions in most of our jurisdictions particularly in Europe business travel is still largely suspended.

As and when staff in jurisdictions are able to and are travelling for business they are asked to report details of their travel centrally.

During the lockdown period we have embraced the use of video technology using platforms such as Zoom and Lifesize to communicate with our clients. This has proved invaluable to our business.

As and when life across our jurisdictions returns to the 'new normal' and restrictions are eased we fully appreciate that our clients may prefer to continue to keep in touch using technology rather than reverting to traditional face to face meetings and we are of course fully prepared for this change and will adapt to our clients' needs.

The PraxisIFM Group is aware of the impact of business travel on the environment and by increasing video conferencing we are also contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions.

Remote working

Most of our workforce continue to work successfully from home. In jurisdictions where lockdown restrictions have eased we have started or are planning a phased return to office working.

A decision on when staff will return to the office will be taken by each managing director taking into consideration government advice in their location.

Where staff are returning to the workplace we ensure that all social distancing and hygiene guidelines and legislation are followed such as:

  • Restrictions on the number of desks used and no hot desking allowed
  • Communal staff kitchen/food preparation areas closed
  • Enhanced cleaning policies

We also have the option of using our off-site business recovery suites where available. These locations give us flexibility for physical distancing between desks.

As a global financial services business we have established business continuity planning procedures in place which are constantly reviewed and updated.

In summary we continue to operate successfully and to review and adapt to the latest official guidelines.

The Group Executive Committee continues to meet (online) twice weekly and communicate with staff across the Group weekly.

Finally as a Group with around 500 staff across 17 jurisdictions I am proud of the teamwork resilience and commitment shown by all my colleagues over the past three months. We have together faced a steep learning curve during the pandemic and will emerge even stronger than before.

If you would like to discuss our business continuity plans or any aspect of how PraxisIFM is managing the current situation further please do not hesitate to get in touch with your regular contact or email info@praxisifm.com.
