PraxisIFM promotes three staff in its Guernsey office

PraxisIFM Group has promoted three staff in its Guernsey office with Graham Dawson becoming associate director in compliance and David Stephenson and Keri Lancaster-King who are both part of the funds team taking on the roles of senior manager financial reporting and senior manager new business respectively.

One of the largest independent and owner-managed financial services groups headquartered in the Channel Islands, PraxisIFM has made the promotions as part of a group-wide strategy to strengthen its management team following the recent merger of the Praxis Group and IFM Group to create PraxisIFM.

'Not only do Graham David and Keri have many years of experience within Guernsey's finance industry they are well-respected and highly thought of by their colleagues and the PraxisIFM board and that makes them ideal members of our management team. PraxisIFM has ambitious plans for growth and it's important that we have the right people at every level of the business to achieve that.' said chief executive officer Simon Thornton.

Having worked in the compliance team for the last 10 years Mr Dawson believes he has the knowledge and experience to take on the regulatory and legislative challenges that lie ahead.

'The Channel Islands are well respected globally for having a finance industry that is well regulated and that reputation has been built by businesses ensuring that every aspect of their service is compliant. PraxisIFM is absolutely no exception and in my new role I will be using the knowledge I have gained over the last decade to ensure that we are able to comply with regulatory and legislative changes as soon as they happen' he said.

Mr Stephenson has over 30 years' experience in the Guernsey finance industry having previously worked at Investec for 18 years within its trust and fund departments. He has been with Praxis since 2009.

'My main responsibilities will be to assist the funds finance director with the management of the financial reporting team and to undertake statutory and internal financial reporting for our diverse client base including entities listed on the London Stock Exchange the Alternative Investment Market and the Channel Islands Securities Exchange.'

Mrs Lancaster-King joined the funds team when it acquired Investec Administration Services Limited in 2009.

'I will be working in partnership with our clients and their professional service providers to ensure we meet their expectations' she said.
