Three charities benefit from staff fundraiser
PraxisIFM staff have raised 5000 for charity during April.
Throughout the month employees of PraxisIFM in London and Guernsey up signed to take part in the Group's coronavirus fundraising initiative #GivingOneHour.
Employees were given the option to donate the final hour of their month's pay to local charities.
In London staff raised 350 for NHS Charities Together while in Guernsey 4600 will be split equally between two local charities .
PraxisIFM's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team launched the appeal to provide financial support to island charities which are facing a surge in demand for their services at a time when they are experiencing significant shortfalls in funding.
Following a staff vote and with guidance from The Association of Guernsey Charities the two charities that will benefit from donations will be the Guernsey Welfare Service a charity which works with a variety of people who find themselves in financial need and Age Concern which provides support and for older members of the community. Each charity will receive 50% of total funds raised.

Many members of the community are experiencing hardship and are in need of support now more than ever from our amazing local charities.It was very important to us that we play our part in assisting them to continue their irreplaceable work and support the island's community'.
