Christa joined the In-House Legal Counsel team at Praxis in 2023.
History
Previously, Christa was a Senior Associate at a global law firm working on a variety of contentious regulatory and trust matters. Before moving to Guernsey, she worked at a large firm in London and the south west, dealing with a range of regulatory, environmental and cross border commercial disputes. She also spent some time on secondment to a major public sector client, advising its in-house legal team on contentious and non-contentious commercial, regulatory, property and employment matters.
Christa grew up in Austria and completed her first year of study there before moving to the UK in 2011, where she completed her LLB (Hons) Law and LLM LPC Legal Practice in England before qualifying as a solicitor.
Roles and responsibilities
Christa advises the business on a wide range of legal matters including company and trust law, regulatory compliance, and international developments, drawing from her extensive knowledge in local financial services law and regulation.
Christa's diverse background and experience of a variety of both non-contentious and contentious legal matters means she is well placed to support the trust administration teams and Group entities on all aspects of client transactions in the private wealth sector.
