Paul brings over 35 years of expertise in fiduciary services, financial governance and administration to his role on the Praxis Board.
He spent a distinguished 25-year tenure with the Butterfield Group, where he held pivotal leadership roles, including 17 years as Managing Director of the Bank’s Guernsey trust company and four years as Deputy Group Head of Trust, before retiring in 2023.
Paul's career also includes a decade of international experience with KPMG, working across Australia, London, and Hong Kong. A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, he is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, reflecting his deep commitment to professional excellence and industry standards.
Beyond his professional roles, Paul has been a steadfast advocate for Guernsey’s finance sector. He has held key leadership positions with the Guernsey Association of Trustees, the Guernsey International Business Association, and the local branch of STEP, championing the island’s reputation as a leading financial jurisdiction. He is a serving Commissioner with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
Paul joins the Praxis Group Board as of 1 January 2025.
