Alastair Chalmers

Guernsey

Guernsey-born Alastair (Ala) represents the island and England on the world sporting stage.

The Group has sponsored the 400m hurdle star since 2018, providing financial support to enable him to continue pursuing his career in athletics, such as contributing towards kit, training, medical, competition and travel costs.

The British champion also became the first Guernsey track and field athlete to win a Commonwealth Games medal when he ran to Bronze in Birmingham in August 2022.

Now a five-time British 400 metre hurdling champion following his win in Manchester in June 2024, Alastair has officially been selected to represent Team GB at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

As part of our partnership, we created this video with Ala where he shares his career journey and top tips for staying focused, motivation, and striving to achieve your goals.
